Job Title: Nursing Professional - Aged Care Expert
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at The Haven, Wagga Wagga. As a Nursing Professional - Aged Care Expert, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents in our residential aged care home.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
- Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
- Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
- Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
- Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
- Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age-related health issues
- Strong coaching/training skills
- Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
