Position Overview:

- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness within healthcare environments, including wards, restrooms, kitchens, offices, meeting spaces, and clinics.
- Ensure the upkeep of communal areas, elevators, and staircases.
- Replenish supplies in patient, staff, and public restroom facilities and bathing areas.
- Manage linen and waste disposal, along with equipment handling.
- Handle the collection and delivery of patient documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
- Assist in de-escalation efforts and maintain the safety of healthcare personnel, visitors, and patients.
- Transport of deceased individuals when necessary.
- Requires self-motivation and integrity to perform tasks independently.
- Good time management skills are essential to meet high standards of cleanliness.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive communication with all stakeholders.
- Undergo Hepatitis B screening as part of health compliance.
- Must be a team player while demonstrating individual competence and maturity.
- Availability to work weekends and occasional split shifts is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Previous experience in cleaning roles is advantageous, although full training will be provided.
- National Police clearance required, issued within the last year.
- Self-motivated with the ability to demonstrate initiative in the workplace.
- Professional appearance and strong customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Must be physically fit and energetic.
- Reliability and self-motivation are essential.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (two doses plus one booster) is mandatory for this role.
- Valid work rights in New Zealand and a driver's license with access to personal transport are preferred.
