Job Description

We are seeking a Resource Management Consultant to join our APAC HR team on a full-time 12-month contract covering a period of parental leave. Based in any of our Australian offices, this role will partner with legal teams across the region to help balance lawyer workloads, solve for short-term workload challenges, and align career development with business needs. You will work closely with HFW's global Resource Management team to ensure operational excellence and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities and Skills

The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically allocating lawyers to balance workloads during peaks and troughs, optimising resource utilisation while maintaining high-quality service delivery for the APAC region's dynamic demands. Key responsibilities include allocating lawyers to provide additional project support and workload management for fee earners, aligning work allocation with client needs and lawyer career goals, and building strong relationships with partners, associates, and the global Resource Management team. Desired skills and experience include experience in law firm or agency recruitment, excellent organisational skills, strong ability to work with data and interpret key insights, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a consultative approach to problem-solving and the ability to influence stakeholders. A strong understanding of the legal environment and work types, particularly in disputes, is also required. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have strong Excel skills, with experience working with databases; Power BI experience is a plus.
