Job OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated engineer to join our talent pool and play a key role in delivering exceptional results. The ideal candidate will have a minimum Engineer Class 3 Certificate of Competency (or equivalent) and experience working in a similar environment.
About the Role:
- Perform and oversee vessel maintenance in line with planned schedules and regulations.
- Supervise and support personnel involved in engineering tasks, ensuring efficient workflows and safe work practices.
- Operate winches and other machinery during operations, maintaining optimal performance and adhering to safety protocols.
- Prepare maintenance and operational reports, highlighting areas for improvement and potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and Svitzer's policies, fostering a culture of sustainability and responsibility.
We require candidates who possess strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit. A calm and clear thinker who can make good decisions under pressure, along with comfort with technology and basic computer skills, is essential for this role.
Candidates should also hold Statements of Attainment in Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) and CPR (HLTAID001), as well as a current AMSA Medical and valid MSIC.
