Job Title: Electrical Site Foreman

Watters Electrical is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical activities on site, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Manage and coordinate electrical activities, including installations, repairs, maintenance, and testing, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and provide guidance to a team of electricians and apprentices, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards.
  • Resource Management: Plan and allocate resources, such as manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient and productive operations.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication, coordination, and resolution of any electrical-related issues or concerns.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a culture of safety by conducting regular safety inspections, identifying, and mitigating hazards, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of project progress, including work schedules, material requisitions, change orders, and as-built drawings.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges, conflicts, and issues that arise during electrical installations, troubleshooting, or repairs.
  • Training and Development: Provide mentorship, training, and coaching to team members, fostering their professional growth, and ensuring their skill development aligns with project requirements and industry advancements.
Requirements:
  • Current Driver Licence
  • 5 years in Construction Related Field
  • A Grade Electrical Licence
  • Safety Training
  • Leadership Experience
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of Project Management
  • Knowledge of Construction Management
  • Estimating & Forecasting
  • Work Scheduling
  • MS Office (MS EXCEL, MS WORD, MS OUTLOOK, MS PROJECT)
  • Construction Safety Laws and Regulations
  • Vendor Management
  • Contract Negotiation
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
