Job Description

We are seeking a senior consultant to provide technical expertise and direction to implementation teams.

System implementations involve all aspects of a consulting project, from installation of n-tier software to DR/HA design to documenting and performing technical training for the client.

Implementation will involve XML messaging, web services, ETL tools, and database techniques.

The team you will be joining is responsible for creating enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management, and hedge funds.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to software quality by clearly communicating defects to stakeholders
  • Develop with a result-driven approach while maintaining implementation schedules
  • Capable of advancing to potentially track project progress across junior consultants, allocate resources to projects, and mentor new hires
  • Able to be self-motivated and self-driven
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in methodology-based solution delivery and managing customer expectations
  • Solid client interaction skills
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to recognize long-term solutions across multiple projects
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task
  • Self-starter, able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); good interpersonal skills; ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector
  • Technical experience includes: XML, XSLT, ERDs, Tomcat configuration and optimization, N-tier application architecture, SOAP/XML and messaging software, RDBMS, Java, C#, Windows, Unix, knowledge of ETL Tools, SCM, and Perl
  • Must have strong oral and written language skills
Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from a leading university or college in Finance, Business/Mathematical Finance, Economics, or Computer Science
  • 3+ years of consulting in the Financial/Financial Software Services industry
