About the role at The BUSY Group

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Specialist to join our team at The BUSY School.

The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting young people who require significant adjustments and interventions to their learning program. As an Education Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to our teachers and help maximise learning outcomes for our students.

This is a part-time role based at our Ipswich campus, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

About The BUSY School

The BUSY School is an independent Special Assistance School with campuses across Queensland, providing an alternative program for Year 11 and 12 students who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education.

We offer a supportive and safe learning environment that includes vocational education and training (VET), work experience, and opportunities for school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. Our team works closely with students to develop employability and transferable skills, promoting wellbeing, resilience, belonging, academic achievement, career exploration, and employment outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including students, parents, employers, school personnel, training providers, and government departments
  • Previous experience in a similar role within youth support services and/or education sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research
