Emergency Department Administrative Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic Emergency Department environment.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality clerical support to the department and other key areas of the hospital.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Clerical Officer will be responsible for:
- Processing patient registrations, admissions, and discharges accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining and updating patient details using clinical software.
- Providing professional clerical support to clinicians.
- Operating the after-hours switchboard and emergency code system.
- Liaising with members of the public and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A strong understanding of patient confidentiality requirements.
- The ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse groups of people.
- The capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and manage traumatic and vulnerable situations.
To succeed in this challenging role, you should possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
