About the Role

ProTen Limited is an industry leader specialising in high-quality broiler chicken farms across Australia.

We have a total of 560 sheds in operation on 47 farms, strategically located in New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.

Farm Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations within cutting-edge, tunnel ventilated broiler bird farms.
  • Provide strong leadership and management to a small team of approximately six to eight staff.
  • Ensure cost-effective and efficient bird production.

Main Duties

  • Manage staff to enhance farm performance and cost effectiveness.
  • Resolve staff conflict and disagreements.
  • Liaise with producer company representatives to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Use different shed management techniques to find optimum bird growing requirements.
  • Maintain a high level of farm presentation at all times.
  • Ensure bio-security, health and safety, environmental and animal welfare procedures are adhered to at all times.

Requirements

  • At least two years' experience in managing the operations of a broiler and/or breeder farm.
  • A strong leader with experience managing staff.
  • Dedication to ensuring a high level of quality in the operations you manage.

Poultry Farm Supervisor / Assistant Farm Manager

This role involves collaborating with and providing support to the farm manager through assisting with all of their duties and responsibilities.
