As a Heavy Duty Mechanic and Fitter at Macmahon, you will play a critical role in maintaining the company's fleet of surface and underground mining equipment.

About the Role

  • This position involves servicing and repairing heavy earthmoving equipment including Sandvik 321 jumbos, 1500/1700 loaders and AD45 trucks.
  • The successful candidate will work on a 2/2 or 8/6 roster and enjoy an excellent camp and gym facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair heavy mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Demonstrate expertise in breakdown repairs and servicing of heavy mining equipment.
  • Diagnose faults in mechanical systems and implement effective solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate
  • Current Australian Drivers licence – minimum C class
  • Demonstrated experience working on Sandvik and CAT equipment
  • Experienced in the repairs and maintenance of heavy earthmoving equipment underground
