As a key member of our team, you'll provide expert advice and guidance to WIC leaders and employees on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and employee wellbeing initiatives.
About the RoleThis is a newly created role that requires a strong focus on psychosocial risk and mental health. You'll proactively coach, guide, and provide supportive advice that drives the application of quality health, safety & wellbeing initiatives and programs throughout WIC. Your expertise will ensure WIC maintains appropriate health and safety controls & continuous improvement initiatives that address physical risks, psychosocial risks, occupational violence risks, and biological risks in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance on OHS and employee wellbeing initiatives
- Develop and implement health, safety & wellbeing programs and initiatives
- Conduct workplace assessments, incident investigations, and risk assessments
- Support the delivery of WIC's statutory Health Safety & Wellbeing obligations
- Lead and manage a program focused on mental wellbeing and psychosocial risk management
- Tertiary qualification in a Health & Safety, Psychology, or related discipline
- Proven knowledge and experience in mental health, vicarious trauma, and suicide prevention
- Strong emotional intelligence and resilience
- Experience in psychosocial risk management and the development of strategic and operational workplace mental health and wellbeing systems and programs
