We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meat Department Team Lead to join our team at Drakes Supermarkets.

Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity to lead our meat department team and be responsible for assisting the management of the store's meat operations. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Meat Manager to achieve sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Meat Manager in managing the daily operations of the meat department, including creating rosters, generating orders, and completing stock takes.
- Lead and manage a small team of butchers and sales assistants, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer engagement, and increase profit margins.
- Maintain high standards of product quality, presentation, and safety, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential).
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising a team.
- Ability to order and control costs, with a focus on maximizing profit margins.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
