Senior Electrical Engineer Job Overview

We are seeking skilled professionals to play a key role in delivering water infrastructure solutions. Our team collaborates across business lines and geographies to achieve outstanding outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our expanding NSW Water Group, assisting on water infrastructure projects based in Brisbane office. Our workload spans the lifecycle of project delivery from feasibility studies through to detailed design packages for construction.

About the Role

You will work amongst a diverse group of highly skilled professionals who 'design with community in mind' to deliver program and project excellence for our clients in metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts.

We have a healthy workload focused on water supply and sewerage schemes with key water authorities in Queensland. You will join a dynamic and skilled team that works on water infrastructure projects locally and across the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform broad, varied engineering design tasks on assigned projects under general supervision, including engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and required applications.
  2. Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by researching, analysing, selecting, and applying electrical engineering concepts.
  3. Assist project engineers with developing and managing project scope, including cost estimates, budget, staffing, and schedule.
  4. Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact, and communication pertaining to specific projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartership or working towards is highly regarded.
  • At least 6 years' experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry.
  • Proven electrical design experience in the water and wastewater industry.
