Job Title: Water Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Infrastructure Specialist to lead major water and wastewater projects in Brisbane. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing project delivery teams and providing technical expertise to clients.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Water Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. You will be working on high-profile projects that require your expertise in water and wastewater network modelling, project planning and coordination through initial inception to detailed design and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including network modelling, project planning, and coordination
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Take a leading role as a technical advisor for the team, providing expert input on project feasibility studies and conceptual designs
  • Collaborate with other teams and offices to ensure integrated design approach
  • Provide specialist technical input to construction cost estimates and project budgeting
  • Prepare written reports and make technical presentations to clients and stakeholders
  • Oversee the planning and design of various project elements, preparation of reports, hydraulic models, design calculations, and technical drawings
  • Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, constructors, approval authorities, government agencies, and the public to accomplish assigned objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure planning and project management
  • Must have experience in water and wastewater network modelling
  • Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully manage diverse teams
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Capable of contributing to business development activities and pursuing new clients and projects
  • Must have a proven track record of leading technical engineering teams and successfully managing water and wastewater projects
