Data Quality Transformation

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Specialist to join our Group Enablement Team at Woolworths. As a key member of our Group Data Management team, you will play a critical role in the transformation of how Woolworths leverages data quality to drive organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the data and analytics community to identify key metrics that qualify the data quality, data management, and data governance journey.
  • Leverage information generated through group data management and governance tools used within the group.
  • Perform active stewardship through engaging with business and technical teams to ensure their data quality measures are well documented, understood, and actionable.
  • Organise and conduct workshops to track and help resolve issues impacting business and technical stakeholders.
  • Champion and support data quality, providing group-wide insights on maturing the data quality within the organisation.
  • Onboard, train, and provide support to Data Stewards, Data Owners within the Business and functional units in support of their DQ journey.
  • Continuously build and develop Woolworths group data quality standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Technology, Data Management, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working with data quality tools, ideally Ataccama.
  • 2+ years of experience working in Collibra or similar data management tool.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining best practice processes and data solutions.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strong collaborative working relationships.
  • A demonstrated history of working in enterprise-wide data governance programs.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to adapt communication styles to suit a range of audiences.
  • An ability to communicate complex information in a simple and consumable way.
  • Flexibility to work effectively in cross-functional teams to share knowledge.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
