About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Support Specialist to join our Strategic Surveillance project delivery team based at our Edinburgh Parks location.

The successful candidate will provide essential support for project management and business administration tasks, ensuring that project and contract goals are achieved efficiently and effectively.

This role involves assisting with day-to-day project activities, analytics, administration, and may also include managing discrete project tasks or work packages within established constraints of cost, schedule, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining project management artefacts and data, including customer deliverables, spreadsheets, correspondence, and internal stakeholder interactions.
  • Provide guidance on document formatting, project file naming conventions, and appropriate storage on online Team site.
  • Plan, initiate, and manage small discrete packages of work or tasks to completion, applying project management principles and knowledge areas.
  • Support the Risk & Opportunity Manager in maintaining the Risk Register, and deputise for the Risk & Opportunity Manager as needed.
  • Contribute to the update and maintenance of the Project Risk Register and support Risk Management Processes in line with BAE Systems Australia's procedures.
  • Assist in developing project management planning documents and artefacts, including cost, schedule, and risk.
  • Support business analytics activities such as developing of monthly reports and updating dashboards.
  • Engage in cross-functional activities and undertake discrete tasks as directed.
  • Complete required activities, tasks, and training to meet the competencies expected for the role, demonstrating appropriate breadth and depth of learning and experience.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in an applicable field (desirable)
  • Previous experience in administration, analytics, risk & opportunity, change management, or project management (advantageous)
  • Exposure to SharePoint and dashboarding tools such as Tableau will be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft office suite of programs
  • Current NV1 defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
