About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work with a top-tier proprietary/high frequency trading firm that is renowned for hiring some of the best technologists in the country. You will be part of an elite group of technologists working with lean, low latency trading systems (Linux platforms) and will be responsible for keeping abreast of the latest technological innovations and bringing them to bear in a highly automated (Python, Ansible, Puppet) environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance trading systems using Linux, Python, and other relevant technologies.
- Work with the team to identify and implement new technologies and innovations that can improve the performance and reliability of our trading systems.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of trading systems with other systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain automated testing and deployment scripts to ensure high-quality and efficient delivery of trading systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders as needed.
- Advanced Linux engineering skills and modern x64-based server hardware.
- Solid Python coding skills for automation.
- Fundamental networking skills (TCP, VLAN, Multicast, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong/Polished communication and interpersonal skills.
- A technology or finance-related degree/diploma.
- Experience with financial services or better still trading systems (ideal).
