Indigenous Audio Content Producer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and culturally sensitive producer to create engaging audio content in Indigenous languages for our radio and online platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Indigenous-speaking community in Australia and its cultural nuances, as well as excellent communication and production skills.

This is a casual position, requiring on-site work from our studios during assigned shifts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, produce, translate, and present high-quality audio content (news, current affairs, and community stories) in Indigenous language.
  • Proficiency in speaking and typing in Indigenous and English languages, with comfort participating in language assessment tasks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, would be an advantage.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong research and writing skills, with attention to detail and cultural sensitivity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
