  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services to advance the health of clients, including general medical practice, emergency care, and community health;
  • Contribute to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of primary health programs and services;
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external health service providers to ensure coordinated continuity of care;
  • Participate in case planning conferences to ensure client care is planned and managed effectively;
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive client records in a timely manner;
  • Ensure safe and effective healthcare through participation in medical research and quality assurance programs;
  • Work within established policies and procedures, including those related to staff conduct and work health and safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a degree in medicine from a recognised institution;
  • Be currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency;
  • Have eligibility for a Medicare provider number;
  • Possess a current CPR certificate or commitment to obtain within the first six weeks of employment;
  • Have a valid Queensland 'CA' class driver's licence;
  • Demonstrate a commitment to working within the principles of Indigenous community control, including a willingness to develop the leadership of Indigenous staff.
