Job Title: Cybersecurity Firewall Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Firewall Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, planning, implementing, securing, and maintaining our corporate and customer firewall infrastructure.

  • Supporting existing customers through support, implementation, business issues, architecture, and design of technical solutions
  • Providing in-depth analysis on existing firewalls and security architecture and making recommendations for system and environment enhancements
  • Analysing, developing, enhancing, securing, and testing complex firewall designs
  • Troubleshooting firewall performance issues and analysing network traffic to provide capacity planning solutions
  • Taking ownership of our Fortigate product offering
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Cybersecurity Firewall Engineer to join our dynamic team.

You will collaborate with other SOC team members, including Security Analysts, Security Engineers, and Operations, to ensure the security of our systems and alignment with industry frameworks.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing secure firewall architectures
  • Analysing and improving existing firewall configurations
  • Developing and testing complex firewall designs
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organisational objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical skills, self-motivation to quickly learn new tools and products, and demonstrated experience within network security or firewall engineering
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Good knowledge and understanding of industry standards and most of the following: Linux/Windows server and application administration and configuration, networking, scripting and automation, large scale distributed computing architecture
  • 2+ years' experience working within Cybersecurity and security operations
