Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue's Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

Roster: 4D/3R, 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth or Busselton

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Trainer and Assessor with a strong understanding of Mining operations to join our Eliwana training team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Mining Operations Training and Assessments
  • Deliver FMG Specific Training and Assessments, including Verification of Competency Assessments
  • Facilitate classroom-based Training and Inductions
  • Demonstrate initiative and work without supervision
  • Organise and manage time effectively, with strong attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
  • Perform administrative and scheduling duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Previous comparable equipment experience
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Mining practices and technical systems, with the ability to train content in a professional manner
  • Autonomous Haulage System experience is preferred but not essential
  • Experienced Operator on the following equipment is essential:
    • Production Excavators
    • Production Loaders
    • Dozers
    • Graders
    • Mechanical/ Electric Haul trucks
    • Support Ancillary Equipment
  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • SuccessFactors experience is highly regarded
