We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Satellite Business Development efforts in the Defence sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion within our Defence and wider Commonwealth satellite portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and develop the Defence Satellite strategic plan and wider Commonwealth engagement.
- Prospect, position, and close new incremental Defence business for Optus Satellite.
- Ensure that existing contractual obligations and revenue generation are underpinned and continuously evolved.
- Ensure that Optus Satellite retains its position as the primary Sovereign Satellite Solutions provider to The Commonwealth.
- Nurture and develop existing relationships within Defence & The Commonwealth as well as with internal peers.
- Prepare and ensure accurate forecasts, pipelines, and budgets are available.
- Identify and recommend areas for profitable and sustainable growth within their portfolio's capability to support Optus Satellite's overall strategy and overall product life cycle management.
- Extensive years of industry sales and/or business development experience.
- Experience working with Defence or on Defence Accounts / BDM.
- Experience in relationship/strategic selling - preferably in Satellite, Space environments.
- Sound commercial and business acumen with experience in positioning value propositions to customers.
- Proven track record in achieving sales growth through acquisition strategies and business development sales and customer loyalty through strong relationships.
- A high level of general business acumen with the ability to communicate effectively at CTO, CIO, CFO, and CEO levels.
- Must be an Australian Citizen (PR's unable to apply).
- Already possesses NV1 or higher security classification or ability to obtain.
- Flexible work arrangements, including 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
