About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our team as a Workday Platform Support Specialist. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our human resources department, ensuring the smooth operation of our Workday platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the human resources department on the use of the Workday platform.
  • Monitor the security, performance, and availability of the Workday platform and associated applications.
  • Contribute to the implementation of technical solutions, adhering to security, compliance, and engineering standards.
  • Ensure system security by developing software solutions in accordance with Shell guidelines.
  • Provide meaningful estimates of engineering effort and ensure timely delivery of engineering projects.
  • Train and support users on the proper use of hardware, software, and systems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, such as system configurations and user manuals.
  • Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in software development and systems engineering.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with human resources and payroll business function operations.
  • Proficient understanding of the Workday platform and its operation, including integrating the platform with external products.
  • Agile Delivery Experience: Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment.
  • Business Process Automation: Ability to review existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Cloud Computing: Experience using cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • IT Service Management (ITSM): Knowledge of IT service management frameworks and service delivery processes.
