Payroll Professional

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced payroll professional to join our client, a respected multinational organisation. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely end-to-end processing of payroll for employees across Australia and New Zealand.

  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation and statutory obligations, as well as proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP. They will also possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy, strong numerical and analytical skills, and a high level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • This role requires collaboration with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth integration of employee data and reporting, as well as support for audits, reporting, and compliance processes. The ideal candidate will be able to stay updated on changes in payroll legislation across AU and NZ and assist with continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end processing of payroll for Australian and New Zealand employees in accordance with relevant legislation, awards, and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax, superannuation/KiwiSaver, and other statutory obligations.
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll reports including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (e.g., PAYG, STP, EOFY, IRD submissions).
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Resolve employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of payroll processing experience across Australia (NZ experience highly desirable).
  • Proficiency with payroll system ADP - Beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation and statutory obligations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
