Job Title: Senior Information Security Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled information security professional to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will assist in implementing information and cyber security directives, policies, and work instructions.

  • Assist in the adoption, rollout, and promotion of information and cyber security directives, policies, and work instructions, including Business Continuity Management and IT directives.
  • Ensure compliance with group directives, policies, and work instructions within the ISMS framework.
  • Supervise and guide local information and cyber security efforts, including technology risk management.
  • Conduct control testing activities such as physical site audits.
  • Serve as the local point of contact for staff questions and concerns related to information security.
  • Support awareness initiatives as defined by the group and local requirements.
  • Review security requests and technical concepts, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Assess and manage security risks, including remediation efforts.
  • Support audit and certification activities.
  • Maintain communication with key stakeholders regarding current threat situations.
  • Update relevant stakeholders on local security activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Support risk assessment, monitoring, and management aligned with local and global frameworks.
  • Contribute to Business Continuity Management planning and exercises, addressing cyber risks and ensuring preparedness for threats like ransomware, outages, and data breaches.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience (minimum 8 years), with at least 5 years in financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, architectures, risk assessment methodologies, and awareness training.
  • Understanding of physical security and business continuity management.
  • A risk-aware mindset and motivation to manage information and cyber security.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and escalation management skills.
  • Motivation to stay current with industry trends.
