About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Water Officer. As a key member of our Great Artesian Basin Project Management Office, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our water sustainability projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in the full lifecycle of programs and projects, including promoting funding rounds, assessing applications, negotiating and administering contracts, monitoring progress, and negotiating variations.
  • Negotiate and liaise effectively with other functional areas and external stakeholders to gain advice and cooperation needed to successfully administer contracts.
  • Represent the department and team in all external dealings, provide input to team decision making, and consider the views of others and be prepared to compromise to meet the vision and outcome of the department.
  • Lead and assist across functional work areas and work towards solutions in an enthusiastic, positive, flexible, and constructive manner. Encourage innovation, collaboration, shared responsibility, and a high-performance culture.
  • Engage with and promote programs and projects to the rural community and targeted industry members, and demonstrate a commitment to quality customer service.
About You
  • Applicable tertiary qualifications, while not mandatory, will be favourably considered.
  • This position will require occasional overnight travel as part of the fulfilment of the role, which may involve travel outside of normal office hours and a 'C' Class driver's licence is required.
