About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Solutions Architect to join our team at Singtel Group. As an Operational Architect, you will play a critical role in delivering technical advice and expertise to support the development of innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review detailed customer technical designs, bills of materials, and client proposals to support operational in-contract needs and major project change requests.
  • Provide technical thought leadership and mentoring to the delivery team for new solutions, focusing on ICT and Data Networking areas such as Networks, Data Centre, Cloud, Collaboration, and Security.
  • Design and document converged Network environments as a high-level Design Authority, ensuring architectural integrity and technical excellence.
  • Deliver a high level of technical advice and expertise to support the account and the Optus account team, providing technical solutions and maintaining architectural integrity.
  • Improve the partnership between Optus Business and the broader Optus community, enhancing the way people and process come together to deliver seamlessly to our customers.
  • Analyze prospective and current customer requirements and develop profitable and suitable solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Design complex business solutions that integrate all data, voice, video communications, and systems components into an effective network.
  • Provide Technical and Infrastructure Design for Managed Services solutions, including cost and risk assessment.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, performing customer-focused enterprise technology presentations from technical to CIO level.
  • Embed a consultative approach within Sales and Delivery, ensuring a customer-centric approach.
Requirements
  • Citizen of Australia for Security Clearance purposes.
  • Extensive technical experience, with at least 3 years pre-sales/Embedded Architect experience at senior IT/executive level.
  • Experience in developing detailed customer technical designs, bills of materials, and Client proposals, both in response to ongoing operational in-contract needs and in major project Change Request scenarios.
  • Experience in providing a high level of technical advice and expertise to support, identify, and maintain architectural integrity of a deployed customer ICT environment.
  • Experience in a Managed Solutions environment, including maintaining large corporate networks.
  • Expertise in managing diverse technical solutions.
  • Detailed understanding of one or more of the following technology areas: Data Networks (Juniper and/or Cisco, routing & switching), Security (Juniper and/or Cisco), Server and Storage technologies (Netapp, VMWare, HP, Cisco UCS, Microsoft), Network toolsets, reporting platforms, and other related technology such as HP Openview, Compuware.
  • Ability to question current processes and status quo and devise improvements.
