Reducing re-offending and making the community safer requires dedicated professionals who can provide expert care to individuals with complex needs. As a Mental Health Nurse Clinician, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering best-practice forensic intervention in a correctional environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive assessments, including risk assessments that inform treatment decisions
  • Clinical interviews to determine appropriate treatment pathways for individuals with histories of violent and sexual offending
  • Employ evidence-based assessment tools to develop effective treatment interventions
  • Conduct treatment programs involving individual and group sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual
  • Prepare high-quality treatment plans, reports, and risk assessments for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Registered as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
  • Current driver's licence to enable travel between locations
