The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Linux operating systems, security patches, and network configuration. Experience in AWS environments and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is highly desirable. Additionally, proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based servers and workstations (RHEL 8 and 9) is essential.

About the Role

As a Senior Infrastructure Specialist, you will collaborate with a team of Network/System Administrators across the APAC region. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems on servers and workstations
  • Applying security patches and updates to ensure the integrity and security of the Linux infrastructure
  • Collaborating with the team to configure and troubleshoot networks, servers, infrastructure, and services
  • Developing metrics, monitoring, and reporting systems for trend analysis and infrastructure health management
  • Leading troubleshooting efforts for systems, storage, and network issues

You will also be responsible for integrating solutions from Engineering teams into the operations framework and communicating effectively with team members, stakeholders, and interface groups throughout project phases.

We are looking for an experienced Linux Systems Engineer who is proficient in Windows and Linux server technologies and has experience in Networking and Networking Infrastructure. A self-motivated problem solver with great attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is ideal for this role.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience in AWS environments and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based servers and workstations (RHEL 8 and 9)
  • Strong communication skills and a team player mindset

With a salary of approximately AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our client.
