Election Support Roles

PERSOLKELLY is a leading recruitment provider in Australia, specializing in the recruitment of professional, ICT, government, STEM, management, and executive talent.

We are currently working with the Western Australian Electoral Commission to provide a workforce for the upcoming State election.

The following roles are available to assist with the election process:

Issuing Officer

Issues ballot papers to electors on polling day and rotates as a ballot box guard and queue controller.

After 6 pm, becomes a counting officer to conduct the count.

  • Rotates through various roles to ensure a smooth election process
  • Assists with the setup and operation of polling places
  • Conducts the count and ensures the accuracy of the results
Student Electoral Officer

Assists in polling place duties performed by officers, with limited hours.

  • Assists with the setup and operation of polling places
  • Supports the issuing officer and other election staff
  • Contributes to the overall success of the election process
Voter Information Officer

Engaged centrally through the Electoral Ambassador program and may be assigned to polling places with high concentrations of culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) or indigenous electors.

Assists electors with language, literacy, or other requirements.

  • Provides support to electors with language or literacy barriers
  • Assists with the setup and operation of polling places
  • Contributes to the overall success of the election process
General Assistant

Assists with the setup of polling places and supports the election staff.

  • Assists with the setup and operation of polling places
  • Supports the election staff with various tasks
  • Contributes to the overall success of the election process
Ballot Box Guard

Ensures the correct ballot box papers are put into the ballot boxes and rotates as an issuing officer and queue controller.

After 6 pm, becomes a counting officer to conduct the count.

  • Rotates through various roles to ensure a smooth election process
  • Assists with the setup and operation of polling places
  • Conducts the count and ensures the accuracy of the results
Queue Controller

Manages the queue into the polling place and directs electors as needed.
