About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Meter Reader in the Mount Gambier region. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for walking an allocated neighbourhood and taking and recording utility meter readings. No experience is required, as we will provide all necessary training and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately read allocated meter routes in a timely and efficient manner
  • Uphold the company's safety standards and represent the company in a professional manner
  • Understand and ensure targets are met
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Regularly communicate with the office support team
  • Upload and download route information to/from a hand-held device

Requirements

  • Current valid driver's license
  • Reliable motor vehicle and mobile phone
  • Ability to undertake plenty of walking, bending, and squatting
  • Ability to work in most weather conditions
  • Flexible and comfortable with daily travel of up to 45 minutes each way
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good attention to detail
