About the Role

Are you dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of young children? We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Lead Educator to take on a pivotal role in our organization.

In this position, you will be instrumental in designing and executing engaging, play-based educational experiences for children aged 6 months to 5 years. Your focus will be on creating a secure, encouraging, and enriching atmosphere that fosters the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of every child.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the planning and execution of age-appropriate educational activities, encompassing arts, music, movement, and outdoor exploration.
  2. Encourage a positive and inclusive environment that values teamwork and respects diversity.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the development and progress of each child, maintaining open communication with parents and colleagues regarding individual needs and milestones.
  4. Keep the learning space tidy and organized, including the management of educational materials and supplies.
  5. Prioritize the safety and well-being of all children at all times, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications Required

  1. A minimum ACECQA approved Diploma Qualification in Children's Services.
  2. Familiarity with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
  3. Demonstrated experience in an early childhood setting, specifically with children aged 0-5 years.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  5. A current Working with Children Check.
  6. First Aid certification.
  7. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  8. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
