Job Title: Maintenance Trades Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Trades Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking tasks related to the maintenance of plant, equipment, and buildings.

This is a challenging full-time permanent position offering security and stability in a rapidly growing family-owned business.

About the Role:
  • Assist with the maintenance of plant, equipment, and buildings as specified on the work order
  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance
  • Operation of maintenance equipment
  • Provide 24-hour support to staff and farm in alarm and emergency situations
Key Responsibilities:
  • To perform assigned tasks efficiently and effectively, adhering to established safety protocols
  • To maintain accurate records and reports of maintenance activities
  • To participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and productivity
Requirements:
  • A current driver's license
  • A current forklift license is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • A high commitment to safety
  • Demonstrated self-motivation
  • A high level of problem-solving skills
  • A good level of fitness with the ability to undertake physical and repetitive work

This position will suit someone with an agriculture/mechanical background who is completing or has completed an apprenticeship. Basic electrical, Mig, and Arc Welding knowledge is also desirable.
