Role Overview

As a Business Analyst in our Central Technology team, you will play a key role in improving our strategy and platforms to meet Macquarie's customer needs. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define process workflows, and understand data and functional requirements. This includes gathering, eliciting, and leading the refinement of features/stories with an agile approach, working closely with team members on the design of the functional solution, and ensuring business requirements and outcomes are clearly understood by the scrum team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business / Technical Business analysis experience, ideally within Financial Markets, Front Office Trading, and/or Risk & Supervision.
  • The ability to understand business process workflows and scenarios, their impacts, and effects on data.
  • The ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient knowledge of data manipulation languages (ie. SQL) and data processing.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience working with distributed teams across different time zones.
  • Experience using Confluence, JIRA, and workflow tooling is desirable.
