UNSW Australia is seeking an experienced Indigenous Research Fellow to join our team. As a key member of our research infrastructure project, you will provide Indigenous research and governance expertise to the Australian Cultural Heritage Framework (ACHF).
About the Role:The Indigenous Research Fellow will collaborate with Indigenous leads and industry partners to co-design, develop, and implement policies, procedures, and systems across ACHF infrastructure. You will nurture trusted relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge holders and organisations, strengthen existing partnerships, and build new connections where relevant.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expertise in Indigenous data governance to support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and systems across ACHF infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Indigenous leads at university and industry partners to co-design and develop research infrastructure.
- Nurture trusted relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge holders and organisations.
- Establish and manage a consultation process with industry on Indigenous data governance for the cultural data sector.
- Play a key role in the development and trajectory of the ACHF project to ensure it achieves its KPIs.
