Job Overview
- This is a 6 month fixed term full-time position that will support the General Services Manager in ensuring the smooth operations of the Environmental Services team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily cleaning and waste management operations, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and site-specific needs.
- Manage the delivery of safe and efficient cleaning operations across the hospital, including clinical and non-clinical areas, public spaces and routine cleaning tasks.
- Ensure compliance with audits and maintain accurate records.
- Lead and develop an effective team, including rostering and managing client requests and feedback.
- Monitor financial activities and allocate resources effectively.
- Purchase and manage stock to minimise product wastage.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Manage infection control policies and procedures, following established health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills with experience in cleaning operations within a healthcare or aged care setting.
- Demonstrated experience at management level, with qualifications or experience in healthcare or business management highly valued.
- Strong commercial acumen and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to connect with key stakeholders and deliver superior service levels.
- Proactive leader who is professional, positive, supportive and motivated, with experience in recruiting, mentoring, training and developing a team of hospital assistants.
