Job Overview
  • This is a 6 month fixed term full-time position that will support the General Services Manager in ensuring the smooth operations of the Environmental Services team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily cleaning and waste management operations, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and site-specific needs.
  • Manage the delivery of safe and efficient cleaning operations across the hospital, including clinical and non-clinical areas, public spaces and routine cleaning tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with audits and maintain accurate records.
  • Lead and develop an effective team, including rostering and managing client requests and feedback.
  • Monitor financial activities and allocate resources effectively.
  • Purchase and manage stock to minimise product wastage.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Manage infection control policies and procedures, following established health and safety guidelines.

Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in cleaning operations within a healthcare or aged care setting.
  • Demonstrated experience at management level, with qualifications or experience in healthcare or business management highly valued.
  • Strong commercial acumen and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to connect with key stakeholders and deliver superior service levels.
  • Proactive leader who is professional, positive, supportive and motivated, with experience in recruiting, mentoring, training and developing a team of hospital assistants.
