About the RoleAs a Clinical Placement Facilitator, you will work closely with nursing students to develop their skills and knowledge in a clinical environment. You will act as a professional role model, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities- Oversight of student clinical practice, delivering education and assessment opportunities to meet placement requirements
- Clear communication of expectations while on clinical placement
- Adequate personal orientation to the clinical facility/service
- Orientating students to the clinical placement facility, conducting debriefs and gaining feedback from students and facilities
- Liaising with health facility/staff to provide opportunities for students to meet clinical learning objectives
- Effective communication with the Clinical Placement Coordinator to ensure suitable experiences for students
- Assisting students in developing communication, problem-solving, clinical, and professional skills
- Responding positively to immediate concerns and needs of students and healthcare facilities/coordinators
- Promoting patient/client and student safety
- Conducting pre-briefing and debriefing sessions with students
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Minimum 3 years' broad clinical experience in nursing
- Detailed understanding of relevant professional and accreditation requirements
- Tertiary qualification in nursing or related health discipline
- Current Division 1 Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA, with no conditions or notations
- Advanced clinical nursing knowledge and skills
- Effective conflict resolution skills in a student environment
- High-level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional growth.
