A Team Leader, Student Equity role is available to lead the development, delivery and evaluation of diversity and inclusion services for students across TAFE and Higher Education.

Reporting to the Manager, Student AccessAbility and Equity, you will develop programs, policies and strategic advice aimed at improving access, participation and success for students from under-represented communities. You will promote inclusive practices across the university and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of equity issues in education, and familiarity with State and Federal Government policies and funding initiatives. You will also represent the organization in relevant forums and contribute to sector-wide equity efforts.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of issues affecting access and participation in higher education for under-represented groups and experience implementing diversity and inclusion programs
  • Experience in leading, managing and motivating a team to achieve student outcomes
  • Proven extensive expertise in the development, implementation and evaluation of institution-wide programs
  • Creative planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
