Accounting Leadership Role

This position oversees the financial operations of a subsidiary, including accounting, treasury, and business analytics. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior finance leaders on financial reporting, budgeting, and project accounting.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior finance leaders in monthly general ledger close and consolidation of the Australian subsidiary's financial statements.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts for the Australian subsidiary.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, including tax and regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with GST, payroll, and income tax regulations.
  • Resolve discrepancies in account reconciliations and manage accounts payable and payment calendars.
  • Collaborate with project delivery and project accounting teams on project cost tracking and coordination with procurement teams on purchase orders.
  • Work with the people (HR) team on payroll administration and prepare weekly pacing reports, including cash and accounts payable status.
  • Maintain SOX 404 compliance for the Australian entity and implement company policies and internal controls.
  • Manage local banking and insurance relationships and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintain and update bond and letter of credit listings and provide assistance with the company's bond portfolio.
  • Participate in budget planning and assist senior finance leaders with rolling forecasts and management reports.
  • Support business leaders in the Australian entity with proforma and financial analysis for new business initiatives and projects.
  • Provide cross-functional support for engineering, product development, marketing, project management, and sales departments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting, including financial reporting roles with progressive responsibility.
  • Public accounting and construction/EPC industry experience are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is a plus.
  • Expertise in Oracle NetSuite is advantageous.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with rapid growth.
