Job Title: Recovery and Support Specialist

The Recovery and Support Specialist plays a vital role in facilitating the Claims team's achievement of desired claims durations and outcomes.

A key focus of this position is to optimize recovery outcomes within the IP and TPD portfolios, as well as supporting Claims Consultants to develop return-to-work strategies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines, while also adhering to external regulations and industry guidelines.

This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service to a wide range of clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the Claims team on return-to-work matters
  • Optimize recovery outcomes within the IP and TPD portfolios
  • Support Claims Consultants to develop their capability to build effective return-to-work strategies
  • Contribute towards a culture of process improvement
  • Collaborate with the Health Services team to ensure a consistent best-practice approach for recovery and support is implemented across Claims

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years demonstrated experience in a similar role within an Occupational or Vocational Rehabilitation field or other allied health discipline
  • Ability to identify and develop strategies to overcome biopsychosocial issues
  • Knowledge and experience working in compensable disability management environments (Life, including IP and TPD, CTP, Workers' comp, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of effective rehabilitation services
