Project Officer - Waste Management Strategy

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Project Officer - Waste Management Strategy. This role involves developing and implementing waste management strategies, projects, and programs that make a real impact.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing waste management strategies, projects, and programs
  • Proactively undertaking project work identified within relevant plans and policies
  • Developing, administering, and analyzing reports
  • Resolving customer inquiries
  • Participating in joint projects, programs, and events with local and regional bodies
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Environment or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the waste and resources recovery industry
  • Local government experience in a similar position (desirable)
  • A valid driver's license (Class C) - NSW
  • High-level interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
