Fire Protection Technician Role

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a growing business and be part of the South Australian team.

The successful applicant will ensure the effective servicing, inspection, and testing of fire protection equipment such as fire detection systems, portables, passive and exit emergency lighting systems, non-pumped hose-reels and hydrants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance with procedures and processes and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Identify inspect and test fire protection and safety systems and equipment including Fire Panels EWIS Fire alarm systems Sprinkler Systems and Pump sets emergency exit lighting portables and passive equipment.
  • Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on fire protection systems and equipment using logbooks and associated documents in an accurate manner.
  • Drive commitment to the highest standards of business code of conduct Maximise efficiencies via route planning time management stock management and service delivery.
  • Manage and maintain all assigned property including documents tools equipment.
  • Report work progress and performance by completing productivity key performance indicator KPI reports.
  • Be on call and attend call outs as per rostered requirements.
  • Comply with Welfare Health & Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
  • Recommend improved business processes by actively engaging in quality programs.
  • Comply with all Customer requirements as defined by the Customer contract.
  • Attend all scheduled training programs.
  • Ensure highest level of presentation as an employee.
  • Work reasonable overtime to meet contractual requirements including weekends and working away.
