Financial Analyst - Balance Sheet Expert

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our Balance Sheet Management team, you will be responsible for optimizing and monitoring the bank's balance sheet to support its growth and dynamism.

The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in a financial or quantitative degree and 3+ years of experience in a Treasury-related role. They will also possess a good understanding of financial markets and key risk factors for financial products, including banking products and interest rate derivatives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed financial models and reports to inform business decisions.
  • Analyse and interpret complex financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the bank's balance sheet and improve financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of plans.
  • Monitor and manage interest rate risk metrics to ensure compliance with established limits.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong academic background in a financial or quantitative degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Treasury-related role.
  • Good understanding of financial markets and key risk factors for financial products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
