Job Title: Director of English Curriculum

As the Director of English Curriculum, you will lead and manage a department that provides high-quality education to students from Year 7 to Year 12.

You will drive student performance in key curriculum areas – IBMYP, IBDP, and HSC – to ensure excellence in every English classroom.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the implementation of MYP Language and Literature, ensuring a smooth and impactful alignment with Years 11 and 12, while building a cohesive 7–12 curriculum that reflects best practice in literacy development and a curious mindset.

About The Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated educator to join our team as the Director of English Curriculum.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain an English curriculum programme that meets the needs of all students in the School from Year 7 to Year 12.
  • Implement initiatives, project delivery, and change management to drive student performance and achievement.
  • Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge and commit to ongoing professional learning.
  • Manage and develop other staff to achieve academic excellence.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other members of staff to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Administer and organise resources to support teaching and learning.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and guardians to ensure seamless communication.
  • Contribute to the full life of the school and participate in activities outside regular hours.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Qualifications:
  • Appropriate qualifications in Education or a related field.
  • A valid Working with Vulnerable People Card.
  • A current National Police Check.
  • Full working rights within Australia.
