About the Role

The Northern Region Underwriting Manager is a senior position responsible for overseeing Arch Australia's Casualty portfolio and underwriting team in the Northern Region (NSW and QLD).

This role involves underwriting and managing a profitable book of Casualty business within the Northern Region market in accordance with Arch's written underwriting guidelines.

  • Underwrite new and renewal Casualty business in accordance with allocated underwriting authority level.
  • Achieve planned underwriting results for new and renewal business and identify requirements to meet the Region's business needs.
  • Lead and manage a team of Region Casualty underwriters and ensure compliance with all business policies and procedures.

This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge and analytical abilities. The successful candidate will have:

  • Displayed ability of portfolio management.
  • Displayed ability to manage growth of Region, Casualty portfolio.
