Responsible Mine Engineer Position

This permanent position involves working on a 4:3 roster, FIFO from Cairns or Darwin to Groote Eylandt.
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, safety, and performance of tailings storage facilities across their lifecycle, from operation to closure.
- Leading risk identification, mitigation & reporting for tailings infrastructure.
- Ensuring compliance with guidelines & internal frameworks.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams on design, construction & maintenance.
- Overseeing water management & surveillance to uphold operational standards.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Extensive experience in TSF design, construction, operation, and monitoring.
- Demonstrated capability in driving tailings safety through technical leadership & independent judgement.
- Collaboration skills and effective communication across all levels.
- A deep understanding of TSF design, regulation, and risk management.
An Engineering degree qualification in a relevant discipline is required.
