Job Title: Quality Assurance / Occupational Health And Safety Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance and Occupational Health and Safety professional to join our organisation. This is a full-time role based at our site.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance to ISO 9001:2015 and maintained at our site, and that quality requirements of customers are met.

This role requires working closely with staff and delivering projects across the site to ensure adherence to health and safety legislation and policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health and safety committee meetings, preparing agendas, recording meeting minutes and following up on actions as required, and providing reports.
  • Work alongside management and staff to ensure all health and safety legislation is adhered to.
  • Record all accidents, near misses and health and safety issues.
  • Create corrective actions for continual improvements in areas of quality assurance and occupational health and safety.
  • Supervise and oversee compliance to ISO 9001:2015 and national standards for disability services (where required).
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure registration to certifications.
  • Conduct audits as scheduled within the audit diary and reporting findings at the audit and risk committee.
  • Work with all managers and support staff to conduct random daily quality checks on all jobs that are in progress in all departments across the company.
  • Ensure emergency evacuation procedures are maintained and up to date at all times.
  • Ensure relevant risk assessments are conducted on all machinery.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a QA/OHS role (2 years minimum)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Great time management and organisational skills
  • Process driven, oriented towards continuous improvement
  • Internal auditor accredited (preferred)
