Infrastructure Project Engineer

As a seasoned engineer, you will lead critical civil works on a major infrastructure project in Melbourne. The role involves managing high-risk construction activities, overseeing subcontractors, driving productivity, and ensuring full compliance with project and client standards.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in earthworks, drainage, and granular pavements and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to shaping the future of infrastructure in Melbourne.

About the Role:
  • Project Delivery & Team Leadership: Manage and guide project teams to deliver effective, timely, and cost-efficient outcomes. Oversee work allocation, team performance, and technical direction.
  • Quality, Risk & Contract Management: Ensure compliance with quality systems, including ITPs, lot closures, and NCRs. Identify and manage project risks and contribute to contract administration including claims and variations.
  • Program & Productivity Optimisation: Develop and manage project programs and site productivity. Challenge activities for improvement and drive efficiencies against tender estimates.
  • Stakeholder & Subcontractor Coordination: Liaise with clients, monitor subcontractor performance, and manage procurement to ensure contractual, commercial, and quality obligations are met.
