Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Director to join our project team in Queensland. The successful candidate will have a history of delivering major infrastructure projects, particularly with a focus on heavy concrete civil structures.

  • Deliver high-value infrastructure projects with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and environmental performance.
  • Lead and direct the construction team to achieve set objectives for programme, cost, and technical excellence.
  • Have significant experience in relevant construction management roles with prior experience working for major civil contractors.
  • Hold a high level of technical understanding and experience in technically complex engineering projects, with a particular focus on heavy concrete structures (e.g., dams).
  • Be committed to safety and proactive in implementing safety processes and practices on site.
  • Hold a relevant degree qualification in engineering, desirable.

The role is based in Brisbane and requires regular travel to the project location when doing site works. A relocation package, including removalist costs, will be made available to the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the construction team to deliver the project to programme and budget.
  • Directing and coordinating the operation of the project construction to achieve set objectives.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of construction professionals.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Highly experienced Construction Director with a proven track record in delivering large-scale construction projects.
  • Significant experience in relevant construction management roles with prior experience working for major civil contractors.
  • High level of technical understanding and experience in technically complex engineering projects, with a particular focus on heavy concrete structures.
