Southern Cross Catholic College, Annandale, is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the position of Assistant Principal - Religious Education (Primary). This is a full-time, 5-year fixed-term appointment commencing in Term 1, 2025.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Principal in evangelising the Mission of the Church through coordinating and managing the Religious Education Curriculum.
- Nurture the Religious Life of the School by prioritising enhancing the school's Catholic identity and culture.
- Exercise senior leadership and assist the Principal with the management of the school in accordance with Catholic tradition.
- Baptised Catholic with a commitment to the Catholic faith.
- Displays confidence, curiosity, enthusiasm, and optimism.
- Displays emotional intelligence in working with individuals and groups.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
- Appropriate Tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
- Minimum of 8 semester units of postgraduate study in Religious Education, Scripture, Theology, Catholic Ethos, and/or currently undertaking.
- Full accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.
